The Making of Fable | This House Was Built on Beans

Take a trip to L'Chateau Beans and take a peak behind the flim-flam curtain of gaming's most infamous PT Barnum: Peter Molyneux.

Molyneux is among the most notorious personalities in gaming, but we probably wouldn't know him from any other bean if it wasn't for the release of Lionhead's and Big Blue Box Studio's 2004 release of "Fable."

But where does this story start? Why is Molyneux so hated in the industry? Why do we keep saying beans?

Aliens: Colonial Marines | A Mess From Start to Finish

GAME OVER, MAN!

 

The video game industry has definitely had its fair share of flubs and controversies. However, almost no other studio has been slapped as hard with these issues as Gearbox Studios—known for its iconic Borderlands series, as well as well-documented disasters Duke Nukem Forever and, of course, Aliens: Colonial Marines.

 

And because Will and Nate love a good disaster story, this time they're diving into the story of what eventually became Aliens: Colonial Marines. Here, our heroes uncover what seems to be a tangled, wiry mess of backroom business deals, shady marketing tactics, and poor project management, which in some ways eerily echoes development stories like Cyberpunk 2077.

 

So grab your pulse rifle, lock and load, and let's take a look at one of the biggest bombshells to hit gaming in the 2010's!

Super Mario World | Jumping into a New Generation

The sadbois are jumping back into the SNES era with arguably one of the most popular launch titles in Nintendo's history: Super Mario World!

In a time where Nintendo was the definitive console KING for years, the company finds itself at a crossroads: reinvent the Nintendo Entertainment System, or get swept away by the competition.

Super Mario World's development history is smack dab in the middle of this new challenge as developers like rockstar Shigeru Miyamoto and his ragtag team look at how they can bring everybody's favourite plumber into the 16-bit generation.

Will the newest game in the historic series stand toe-to-toe to the new kids on the block like Sega, or is it all just a pipe dream?
